Here are a few of my favorite gift ideas for this holiday season!
I’m in love with Instagram and psst… I just found the perfect gift for several of my family members: an Instagram book of my Instagram pictures!
Blurb connects to your account and flows your photos into the book layout. Then you edit and print it. Tip: before you order it, google a coupon code for them — I was able to get 20% off.
Miss Marisa Fragrance
I’m very sensitive to smells and therefore don’t add fragrances to my candles, but I found one fragrance this year that I love.
Kourtney Kardashian wears it, Carmen Electra wears is, and now I do: the bewitching Miss Marisa fragrance that gets made right here in Katonah! Viktoria, who owns the Ebba boutique and online store, makes it out of plum blossom, cassis, moroccan mint, and waterlily. I’ve never smelled anything like it before, and it makes a wonderful gift.
You can also try before you buy and order individual samples or the complete fragrance kit samplers. Individual samples are just $3 each, and the Miss Marisa fragrance kit is $15 for all 6 Miss Marisa fragrances.
Coolibar Clothing With Built-In Sun Protection:
The one thing I dread about summer is putting on all that sunscreen. So one great, practical gift that ensures that the wearer doesn’t get a sunburn is Coolibar clothing, the sun protection you wear.
Landon and I go to try their hats last summer and we loved the convenience. Much easier to throw on a wide-brimmed hat than sunscreen!
From crush-proof hats and Henley beach dresses for women to swimwear for infants, sun-protective umbrellas and sun shelters, Coolibar offers protection for the whole family.
- All Coolibar clothing is rated UPF 50+, which blocks 98 percent of the UV rays
- Coolibar is the only company to test every garment to ensure that it has the same level of protection from the first to the last wash
- Coolibar clothing is the most recommended clothing by the Skin Cancer Foundation
- Unlike regular clothing, Coolibar provides protection against both UVB (burning rays) and UVA (aging rays) with maximum effectiveness
Energizer Energi to Go Portable Case Charger for iPhone 4
I need this!
The Charging Case extends your iPhone battery life up to almost a full charge. This sleek, black case fits snug around the entire phone as one piece. You control the charging with a simple On/Off switch. A Micro USB cable is included so you can sync, and charge your phone and recharge the case at the same time.
LEGO® Star Wars™ ZipBin® Toy Box & Playmat
If you have a little one who loves LEGO as much as Landon does, you’ll love this LEGO ZipBin and might just want to get it as one of the next “toys.”
I had been looking for storage options for the hundreds of LEGO figurines and pieces Landon has and came across this solution: a box that zips open to become a play area! And when L is done with building, he just zips the box together again for super-easy cleanup.
Reusable Bamboo Towels
Here is a green product for an easy and eco-friendly cleanup before and after the festivities!
Bambooee is earth friendly, sustainable, and an extremely versatile product for any kitchen or household cleaning — and can be reused and washed up to 25 times!
One roll of Bambooee is equivalent to 60 standard paper towel rolls. I tried them and highly recommend them. Bambooee is available nationwide at Williams Sonoma and online at Bambooee.com for $9.95 per roll.
Green Holiday Labels
Conservation International is helping folks to green their greetings for the holidays.
Their Green Impressions holiday card labels provides anybody sending gift cards this season to friends and family to counter the environmental impact of the production and shipment of holiday cards on which they are sent.
For every $25 donation at Conservation.org/greenimpressions card senders will get 20 of these labels, which will show your family, friends, colleagues and clients that you care about the planet and are taking steps to counter the environmental impact of sending holiday cards.
I encourage you to also shop from artists and small business owners like me via Etsy.
You can find the most amazing handmade and vintage gifts on Etsy, and most of them are worth more than what the artist or shop owner asks for.
