Yesterday, the local Women’s Club held it’s giant sale at Reiss Park in Somers. I spent an hour in the morning picking up fun items, and another one in the afternoon, and came home with so many treasures, Don just rolled his eyes.
Now to the most fun part — guess how little I paid for all of these? Including six more vases for my girlfriend, who is a florist, and several other basket that I didn’t even get in the picture. I paid, drum roll — $30 bucks!!
These are the items I’m going to keep. Some of the plates were so stained that I thought there is no way to salvage them, but then I tried out the Magic Eraser on them and that lifted all the stains. Magic!
That’s my dear Papa’s teddy bear, who died last year. It is about 90 years old and one of my most prized possessions. His grandfather handmade the little leather shoes for it.
I’m linking up this post with Southern Hospitality’s Thrifty Treasures. I can’t wait to see what other treasures were found this week!
