Wordless Wednesday — Drastic Haircut

by Dagmar Bleasdale on June 19, 2012

I promised you a picture of my shorter hair– this is me after donating 8+ inches for cancer patient wigs. Don took this picture on Father’s Day. (Psst, head over to that post to see a rare picture of D1).

You might not think this is a drastic haircut, but I can’t remember the last time I had hair this short. I’m still not in love with it, I think I need layers, but this is me for a while :)

I’m getting ready for Type-A Parent Conference (June 22-24) and won’t have time to get it fixed before. Did I mention that Kelby Carr invited me to moderate the Green Blogger session on Saturday with Sommer Poquette? I’m trilled.

I’m getting ready to leave Westchester very early on Friday, will get to Charlotte around 9AM, and am looking forward to two days at this fabulous blogging conference. If you have time, get your ticket!

If you voted for me, thank you! I made it on the Top Eco-Friendly Moms list again, as number 10. You guys are the best!

One more big announcement: I did it — opened my own Etsy store!

You can now buy my handmade candles and eventually other vintage items at Dagmar’s Home Decor.

I just made more candles and am going to post them soon, hopefully tonight.

What have you been up to? Link up your picture and check out these Wordless Wednesday hosts: Live and Love Out Loud, Dear Crissy, Project Alicia, Mist and Lilies, Mommy Paradise, Better in Bulk, Jenny Rain, and Verena’s Schoene Welt!

I think the admin of this web site is actually
working hard in support of his web page, because here every
information is quality based stuff.

But I think that was really sweet of you to donate your hair. You must love those hairs so much but you chose to give it to the people who needs it most.

Seems like hair has been the WW theme most of the month since summer began! I did it too! Chopped it all off, mine is the shortest I’ve gone also. It’s so much easier for summer!

Your haircut looks great! I know what you mean though…I’ve always had long hair and whenever I get it cut it takes me a while to get used to it.

Congrats on your Etsy shop! Have a great time at Type A!

Dagmar June 20, 2012 at 9:54 AM

Please say hi if you see me running around!

Verena June 20, 2012 at 4:51 AM

Liebe Grüße!

Dagmar June 20, 2012 at 9:55 AM

Hi Verena, vielen Dank fur Dein fleissiges wahlen! Sag’ mir Bescheid, wenn ich Dir mal helfen kann. :)

I think your hair looks great…but it always takes some time to adjust to a new haircut. Think how much cooler you’ll be this summer! My husband has an etsy store too–he sells CuddleSocks–check them out!

Joyce June 19, 2012 at 11:08 PM

We have locks for love where people donate their hair for wigs. It is a wonderful organization that will mean wonders for the recipient.

BusyWorkingMama June 19, 2012 at 10:01 PM

Good job for you on the donation. My hair is so thin it isn’t a good idea to ever grow it.

Kristi {at} Live and Love Out Loud June 19, 2012 at 9:52 PM

Love the haircut! And for such a great cause too. :) My daughters and I have donated our hair before. It’s such a simple and wonderful thing to do for others.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I’m sorry for being so silent lately. Vacationing in Hawaii is serious business. lol

Karly @ Three in Three June 19, 2012 at 9:12 PM
