Take Care of Yourself With Molly Maid House Cleaning

by Dagmar Bleasdale on April 30, 2012

Thank you Molly Maid for sponsoring this post.

Be sure to take care of yourself and Mom this Mother’s Day! #MollyMaid4Mom

Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and this year I’m looking forward to it more than ever. My mother, who lives in Germany, is going to visit us for 11 days.

This is the first time she is going to visit us in New York alone — my father passed away unexpectedly last August. My parents always did everything together, so this is going to be a bitter-sweet visit but I’m also so looking forward to our mother-daughter time.

I want this to be a very special Mother’s Day for my mom, and I’m already planning all the fun things I want to do with her and show her. While Landon is in kindergarten, I’m going to take her to breakfast at one of my favorite places that I know she will love as well — Richard Gere’s Bedford Post Barn.

The drive alone along Bedford’s rolling hills and past stunning million-dollar houses is a treat. And maybe we will get to have breakfast right next to Richard, like I have once. My mother likes yoga, so we could even take a yoga class together in the Yoga Loft upstairs.

The last thing I want to think about is cleaning the house, so I want to hire Molly Maid for a good house cleaning. The time with my mom is way too precious and short, so I’m going to have them do the housework I never seem to find the time for: dusting and scrubbing the bathrooms from top to bottom. I’ve never had a cleaning service come to my house before, so this will be my gift to myself on Mother’s Day.

And guess what, I have a treat for you…

I used to really enjoy your blog. I did not comment much but always read. Nowadays it is always spondered posts and requests to vote for you for some award or another. I do not recall a whole lot of posts by you on being Vegan/vegetarian so not quite sure why you have that button.

It is sad to me when “mommy” blogs go this way.

Also no thanks on the Maid prize. I do wonder if you are paying fot your service while your Mother visits or if it was your prize for your sponsored post? You only partly disclosed by saying you were “compensated”. Knowing what I do know about your from reading you I know you are very frugal and I also know how much that maid service runs..it is not cheap.

I notice you have very few comments these days. Maybe many feel as I do? It would be nice if you got back yo Mommy Blogging. A vegan recipe or 3?
