Wordless Wednesday — Tiny Blue Teddy Bear for Nani

by Dagmar Bleasdale on February 7, 2012

This teddy bear is smaller than you think.

I found him on Etsy and knew right away that I wanted to buy him for my mom.

My mom loves the color blue, and teddy bears are a symbol of love in our family.

My mother greets us with a new teddy bear at the airport every time we visit her in Germany.

“Tiny blue bear” is flying to Germany right now, to keep my mom company.

This tiny guy is so little, she can keep him in her purse as a reminder that we love and think of her no matter where she is. We are all still having a very tough time dealing with my dad’s passing.

{I’m in the running to be one of the 25 Top Vegetarian Moms. To be on this list is a big deal – the Top 25 will be presented to Circle of Moms’ six million members. Please vote for “Dagmar’s momsense” with just one click! I’m No. 18 right now. You can vote once a day from a computer and phone for the next 7 days. I appreciate your help so much! Thanks!}

Awww, the bear is sweet and I so understand having trouble with losing a loved one. I lost my mom in 1990 to colon cancer (she was only 51) and my dad in 1995 to a heart attack. You never “get over” it, but you do learn to live with it. Hugs to you and your family. Teresa

Oh my gosh, it’s so tiny, that might be the cutest little bear I have ever seen!

He really is! I had no idea he was going to be that little, and when I unwrapped him, I thought they had forgotten to put him in the box LOL

My girl loves singing Old MacDonald has a farm and she has now 5 cuddly toys! But since I’m afraid it’ll attract too much dust mites, my preference is for animals from balloon sculpture! Have linked my first sculpture – a yellow dog!

I am really impressed. It is so well defined for being so small.

Wie süß! Da wird sich Deine Mama bestimmt sehr freuen!

Liebe Grüße,

Aww!! I love that your mom can keep it in her purse :) I kinda want one! Also, voted for you. I could give up meat but you’d have to pry fish and shellfish out of my cold, dead hands!

Dagmar February 8, 2012 at 12:24 AM

Thank you for your comment and your vote! I’m not a fan of fish either :)
