Spreading Real Cheer With Holiday Decorations

by Dagmar Bleasdale on December 15, 2011

Our German/Amercian Christmas tree and other Christmas decorations are up – and I dare say I did the best job yet.

I guess because I buy a few more decorations each year (this year I added fake white berries and a ribbon) so there is just more of it.

And more decoration means more cheers in this house! I think more is definitely more in this case — and adds to us getting into the holiday mood.

I also add cheer by switching our white napkins with holiday napkins, and we painted wooden holiday ornaments, magnets, and a sign for the garden.

Sometimes we forget, but the holidays are not about rushing to get the most expensive gift — they are about spending more quality time with your family.

Decorating together is one of those things my son and I enjoy.

How do you spread real cheer with your holiday decorating?
