Not Me! Monday — Beg and Barter

by Dagmar Bleasdale on November 21, 2011

Mckmama- Not Me Monday

I did NOT barter with the local frame shop. I did NOT bring them a print in a frame that I had been meaning to get fixed for years and set up their Twitter account in exchange.

I bought this picture at a yard sale for $5, a total steal. The glass of the frame is wavy, so it’s pretty old, and the print is old as well. I’m so glad it finally found a home in our home.

If you need to get something done but don’t have the money, try to barter! I bet there’s something you are good at the other person could benefit from. It doesn’t hurt to ask.

I did NOT get these glass candle holders for $9 at T.J. Maxx yesterday.

I added three inexpensive tea light holders from Ikea so I don’t have to worry about dripping wax, which would be hard to remove out of the bottom. Now I just need to buy more tea lights.

I did NOT write a post about the 11 cutest DIY advent calendar ideas and am NOT surprised that it is not getting more attention. Maybe people are so busy with Thanksgiving?

And I’m NOT AT ALL surprised that I only have 4 entries so far for a $100 giveaway. It’s so easy to enter — just leave one comment.

Do the math, people, the odds that you’ll win the $100 are pretty good :) Leave a comment – I beg ya!
