What Did You Love Most About Recess?

by Dagmar Bleasdale on October 4, 2011

Gosh, I really had to think about that — what DID I love most about recess? I’m terrible about remembering things from that long ago, and I had to dig deep. (My oldest girlfriend Danja still remember what we all wore back then, yikes!)

Hanging out with my best girlfriends and eating our snack (in Germany you don’t eat lunch at school, you just have one snack break) and just chatting was what I liked most. There usually was a boy we really liked, but we didn’t dare let him know.

L just started kindergarten and he tells me that the girls are chasing the boys during recess, and that he doesn’t like that. I guess things have changed :)

Do you remember what you liked the most about recess?
