Wordless Wednesday – The Boy and His Halloween Lightsaber

by Dagmar Bleasdale on September 14, 2011

I love fall. I noticed the first orange and red leaves the other day and I can’t wait for Indian Summer to come.

We visited the local orchard last week and they had a lightsaber Landon had been asking about after we looked at Halloween costumes online. So it came home with us.

Landon is {most likely} going to be a policeman for Halloween. What is our child going to be?

This year we are going to have a cowboy, a pumpkin and a cow. My mother in law made all my husband’s and his siblings’ costumes when they were little. It has now has become a tradition for us to go through Grandma’s costume box to choose what the kids will wear. It is fun hearing the stories about who wore what and if there were any major Halloween snow storms that year.

We don’t do Halloween here. There is no fall with all the beautiful red and orange colours. Sigh. But I’m sure my tot would go for the Lightsaber too. And I think he would want to be a Pilot, he’s into planes right now.
When I look at the last picture, Landon is totally absorbed in his role. Sweet.

I wish my daughter would make up her mind. lol. My son thinks he’s too cool for dressing up and going trick-or-treating. Kinda sad, but I’m trying to be ok with it. Happy WW! Thanks for the visit!
