Barefoot Books sent over some of their whimsical, fabulous books a while ago. They are just absolutely wonderful.
Barefoot Books are different. From the “Our Story” page:
“Explore. Imagine. Create. Connect. Give Back. That’s what Barefoot Books is all about. It’s exploring other cultures, our planet, ourselves. It’s making time for make-believe and letting imaginations run wild and free. Most of all, it’s about using the power of stories to nourish the creative spark in everyone and strengthen connections with family, the global community, and the earth.”
These are the Barefoot Books products we got to enjoy:
Port Side Pirates: Oh, Landon loves pirates! So of course we had to read this book first. The story/song is very cute, and L enjoyed the information about historical pirates, pirates around the world, and a helpful chart naming the parts of a ship. Includes a sing-along CD.
The Prince’s Bedtime: Meet a young prince who refuses to go to sleep — sound familiar? The entire kingdom comes out to help in this rhyming bedtime adventure. This book also includes a CD.
Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush: Four children from Mali, Europe, India and China go through their morning routines. This fun book encourages creative movement and imagination, while teaching about different cultures. Includes a CD.
The Beeman: A rhyming story that teaches kids about the beekeeper, where honey comes from, and the vital part that bees play in the natural world. At the end of the book is a recipe for Grandma’s Apple and Honey Muffins. I love raw, local honey for all its health benefits, so I’ll have to make these with L very soon!
My favorite has to be My Daddy is a Pretzel – Yoga for Parents and Kids because Don was a yoga teacher when I met him and so L’s dad is kind of a pretzel :)
I received the above items but no other compensation. This is my honest opinion.
