I need a vacation.
I just came back from Germany, and it was a lovely trip, but that isn’t really a vacation.
A vacation to me is quality — and quiet — time with your family in a cool resort that offers great things to do for kids and adults. We have yet to take a vacation like that.
I love road trips so I keep saying, why don’t we just pack up the car and get on the road for a couple of days? There are so many places we could go to from here, Westchester, NY.
Something always comes up, and my husband and I have a hard time treating ourselves, but it’s so important to connect with your spouse and to make memories with the kids.
I was able to travel a lot when I grew up in Germany, and my parents took my brother and me to many resorts. I want to make sure our son gets to experience new places and countries as well, and having alone-time with mom and dad is always special.
We wouldn’t even have to go far — we could just stay in Upstate New York. The Hudson Valley is known for its beauty and there are many places I haven’t seen yet since moving here 4 years ago.
Guess what, you could win a vacation for 4 to the Villa Roma Resort in the Catskills!
I have made it as far as Hudson but would love to see the Catskills. A trip to a fabulous New York family resort where they have tons of fun things to do for kids? Heaven.
The Villa Roma Resort and Conference Center is an exclusive family resort and received the Fodor’s Choice 2010 Award. And they just celebrated their 40th anniversary with a $27 million renovation.
Kim invited me to write this post and participate in the Twitter party, which is sponsored by Villa Roma Resort. I receive a stipend for my participation. This is my honest opinion. Thanks, Kim!
