Announcing the Horizon Organics Back To School Community

by Dagmar Bleasdale on July 1, 2011

I'm a Leader in the Horizon Back-to-School Community!

Remember I told you I have something to announce? I’m in Germany right now but never far from my computer, so I get to tell you that I partnered with the folks from Horizon Organics as a community leader and announce the launch of

Horizon’s  Healthy Family Back To School Community

You know why I’m so thrilled to partner with them? Horizon Organic is dedicated to be green and give back. I’m very impressed by them and want to support what they stand for. This is from their website:

  • We offset all of the electricity used to make Horizon® products with clean renewable energy certificates.
  • We bike, bus and car pool every chance we get, logging almost 17,000 miles in bicycle commuting last year.
  • By maintaining a zero-waste recycling and composting
program at our offices, we keep waste out of the
landfill — and the environment top of mind.

Here are the other bloggers that will serve as the community leaders:

  • Ewa from Delishh
  • Liz from This Full House
  • Wendy from Wendolonia
  • Tonya from Tonya Staab
  • Sommer from Green and Clean Mom
  • Crystal from The Thrifty Mama
  • Rachel from Surviving the Stores
  • Sara from Saving for Someday
  • Catherine from 3 Kids and Us
  • Cheryl from Tidy Mom

Our mission is to kick off discussions with online friends like you and share useful tips to make back-to-school as healthy (i.e. painless) as possible. Since Landon is entering kindergarten in September, I’m looking forward to pick up many useful tips myself since this is all new to me.

Horizon Healthy Families officially launched today and we will be giving away a $500 Back to School Shopping Spree, Horizon swag, and Target Gift Cards in the community during July.

Let’s chat about saving money, stressing less and having some fun this summer with our kids!

{Disclosure:  I have been engaged by BlogFrog as a Horizon’s Community Leader and am being compensated for my services for the length of the program.}
