Wordless Wednesday — Missed the Tooth Fairy

by Dagmar Bleasdale on June 15, 2011

We missed the Tooth Fairy today. And I’m so relieved!

After all the worry about Landon’s front tooth extraction, we finally saw our wonderful dentist Dr. C today and guess what — he thinks the infection in L’s tooth is under control thanks to the course of antibiotics and he wants to wait and see what happens in the next four weeks.

So instead of pulling the tooth or doing a baby root canal to save the tooth, both procedures that could have been traumatic, Dr. C  fixed the strip crown again and we walked out of there — with L’s front tooth where it belongs!

I’m so glad, and so proud of my brave little trooper. This tooth is going to go to the Tooth Fairy early for sure, but we got a little more time now. This way L will have all his teeth for our visit to Germany to see my family and friends.

I am really glad the dentist thing was not as invasive as you had feared!

Landon is just the cutest. Whenever the time comes to have those teeth removed, you can be happy that you got him to the age where it will be much more age appropriate to be without the front teeth. I think the fact that you searched out the dentist who wanted to do the best thing for your family is awesome – what a great advocate you are for your son.

Oh I´m so glad everything went well with L!

Dagmar, that’s great news! Though he’ll still have to have his tooth pulled eventually, it’s good to know that he has some time. :)

Good for him the antibiotics helped and he can keep the tooth. What a relief. :-) Let’s hope it stays like this for a couple more years until it falls out on its own.
