Birthday, birthday, birthday…

by Dagmar Bleasdale on March 20, 2011

Don’s sister turned 50 and her husband threw her a fab surprise party at Le Chateau in South Salem, which turns out to be this gorgeous, tudor-style manor built in 1907 that J.P. Morgan lived in at one time.

This girl from the old country felt right at home with all the hand-carved, dark wood, the antiques, and the smell of history. Wish I would have taken more pictures of the exterior and interior.

I showed Landon the bar and he was exited to ask the bartender for a drink. He felt so special drinking from a skinny straw and was strutting around like a little ladies man.

The food was amazing, but what was most special was the room full of the Bleasdale family and friends who are all so close and love each other. The speeches for my sister-in-law were wonderful and touching.

Someone was running around all night with his cousins, he wasn’t even sitting with us during dinner, so he almost fell asleep before we left.

Last weekend, Landon was invited to his first bowling birthday party, and he had so much fun learning to bowl with Daddy.

And today we went to a birthday party in a gym, where L just wouldn’t stop running around.

He wouldn’t let me take off his sweater, hence the sweaty look :)

What have you been up to?

What a fun time you have been having!

We “celebrated” my 45th birthday recently — with a canceled party when my husband got strep. :( SOOOOO…. I’m celebrating 364 days of un-birthdays! :) He’ll never get sick on my birthday again, I’m sure :D

Stop by and join us sometime. We love birthday — or un-birthday — party friends!

Looked like such a wonderful time and I am sure L was the hit of the party. I was a little sad to see no pictures of you girl. All I have been doing is on my blog with pictures. Have a great week.
