Fun at the Mall: Santa, Baby Jesus, and Holiday Cheer
Landon and I spent five hours at the mall today. That’s why you didn’t get a blog post from me earlier.
I didn’t intend it to take that long, but we just had too much fun exploring.
It’s getting pretty cold here in Westchester, NY, and I thought spending some quality mother-son time in the mall and letting him run off some energy was just the thing to do.
I try to do something special with him every Monday — the only day he’s not in preschool in the mornings.
Last week we went to a playdate where we learned how to make minestrone and really easy, fast bread from a stay-at-home, homeschooling dad. Here is the recipe.
We saw Santa — from afar like last year.
He found a lucky penny, and I let him ride on a couple of dollar rides.
After we played in the toy store, I somehow got him to stay with me long enough to buy another winter hat and warm jeans with fleece at Old Navy for him.
They are the only place I know of who has them for a reasonable price. I only go to Old Navy about twice a year, and L always asks to see those creepy mannequins.
Remember the post Hugging Old Navy Mannequins?
Our last stop: Pottery Barn. I love that store and found a couple of gifts for my parents.
They do a beautiful job there wrapping things, so while we waited for that — Landon found baby Jesus. Oh, what a silly, sweet boy I have :)
