So this post is not wordless — sorry, I lied.
I was invited to attend Martha Stewart’s Bloggers’ Night Out a few days before BlogHer ’10, and since I had another invitation that night, I made the journey to New York City from Katonah.
Martha Stewart also lives in Katonah — I wish she could have taken me with her into the city!
Don’t ever believe it when people in New York City tell you that something is just a few blocks away — I must have walked 20 blocks from the subway to the Martha Stewart offices, in heels.
And it was terribly hot and muggy that day — not ideal for my new Adrianna Pappel dress I had just bought that day ($69.99 at T.J. Maxx, not bad, huh?).
I was one of the first bloggers to arrive and got to meet Martha when she came by to say hi to everybody for a few minutes. I was able to introduce myself and told her that I live in Katonah as well.
She said hello to a few other bloggers, but she was mostly busy trying to tweet, which she does a lot.
Somehow, I didn’t really get to enjoy all the little appetizers that were being served — I was too busy looking at everything and chatting with other bloggers. I did drink one of these yummy drinks:
Alexis Stewart, Martha Stewart’s daughter, and her “Whatever Girls” sidekick Jennifer Koppelman Hutt.
The view from the offices is amazing, overlooking the Hudson River.
I had fun, and I hope to get the chance to write for one of Martha’s 13 separate blogs one of these days. I’d love to write for either the Home Design blog (I love to decorate with frugal finds, people are amazed how little I pay when decorating our home) or the Living in the Family Room blog.
BTW, Martha, I love this:
I might redo my bedroom soon, which style should I go for, neutral or bold?
Nice to finally get to say hello to you, neighbor!
