Last Friday I participated in Follow Friday on Twitter, like I do every week. You list the names of fellow tweeters you like and follow and add the hashtag #ff so that other people can easily find those tweets.
I always find so many new, interesting people to follow because when I’m mentioned in a #ff tweet I check out all the other Twitter users that are also listed.
Well, last Friday I was mentioned in two really fun #ff tweets:
If you want to see what the tweet looked like, here you go (he has the worst Twitter background I’ve ever seen :)
Bethenny reminds me so much of myself in that she says what’s on her mind — all the time.
We both have a hard time editing ourselves and get in trouble for it sometimes, and we both don’t have a problem making fun of ourselves.
Interestingly enough, I had just watched the latest episode of her show. (BTW, what a stupid title — she is clearly married by now and the title doesn’t fit any longer — but here I go with being so opinionated).
I had just stopped crying over seeing how happy she was after her daughter’s birth and how sweet her husband Jason Hoppy was reacting to becoming a father — and the fact that she is actually breastfeeding Bryn, yay! — when I read that tweet.
And then I found the most amazing tweet in my @DagmarBleasdale inbox:
WestchesterLive #FF @DagmarBleasdale Because she OWNS Westchester Twitter! And her tweets are consistently interesting.
Woot?! This is what that tweet looked like. (David has one of the best Twitter backgrounds).
I don’t know what’s more exiting — that he thinks I OWN Westchester Twitter — I clearly don’t, I’m No. 2 after my Katonah “neighbor” Martha Stewart who has 1,965,753 Twitter followers compared to my 7,078 — or that he thinks my tweets are “consistently interesting.”
I do put a lot of thought into my tweets, I try to make them funny or informative, and I retweet a lot of tweets that I think my green, frugal, natural birth fan, breastfeeding, attachment parenting, social media-addicted followers will benefit from.
I’ve never met David, but this made my WEEK! I guess Don will have to take all my tweeting seriously now.
Thank you so much, David, for those kind compliments! You saved a marriage.
