I did not forget to post a Not Me! Monday post yesterday. I am not so busy working and packing for our trip to Germany — and the list of things to do does not seem to get longer before it gets shorter.
But I was working on a post late last night, so this is going to be my late entry :)
I would never misplace the CD with all of our wedding pictures. No way, I am too organized for that.
I finally found it yesterday.
Don and I got married almost five years ago in the fall of 2005 at Lyndhurst Castle in Tarrytown, New York, overlooking the beautiful Hudson River.
We were living in Los Angeles at the time, where we met, and I did not plan the whole wedding via phone/e-mail — without a wedding planner. Since most of Don’s family lives in Westchester, NY, we wanted to get married there. My parents, my brother, and my three best childhood girlfriends — my bridesmaids — flew in from Germany.
After attending a stunning beach wedding in Nantucket a couple weeks ago, I got in the mood to look at our wedding pictures and thought I’d share a few of my favorite:
I did not do my own nails and my girlfriend Karen did not do my hair.
My dashing prince with my father.
I was not freezing!
Hoping for some help from above to get through the vows without tears.
I did not not succeed.
We did not kiss before we were supposed to :)
I love the priest’s expression — “Okay, then…”
We did it!
Do not notice the German Hummel figurine as cake topper.
My parents dancing, my brother looking on — it was perfect.
Landon was not born on our first wedding anniversary.
Six months later we packed up and moved to Westchester to raise Landon around Don’s large family, the Bleasdale Clan as I affectionately call them.
Not Me! Monday! is a blog carnival that was created by MckMama. Head over to her beautiful, inspiring blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.
