I did not have a hard time not to yell at Landon taking out all of his toys out of his boxes and unrolling a whole roll of paper towels. At first I wanted to stop him, but the again he wanted to make a street with the paper towel and I figured that that would be good for his imagination. What’s one unrolled paper towel roll in the big scheme of things?
I did NOT forget to mention in last week’s Not Me! Monday post that I ran out of gas — for the first time in my life! — after meeting all the other ingredients of the Blogger Salad at Bellizzi. Don’t know what that means? This post explains everything.
I had Landon with me because I am The Best Mommy In The World. How could I go to Bellizzi without L? He loves their pizza and their game arcade. I figured he’d behave and play in the arcade while I mingled and jingled with the other bloggers. Bellizzi owner Isi let us taste his new pizza creations and also made the Blogger Salad for us so we could all taste it for the fist time.
I was not at all constantly distracted and looking for my son’s whereabouts while at the event. No, I am not the world’s best mother and my son’s safety does not come before the pleasure of having fun with friends. Sorry, little man, next time the best mother in the world is leaving your little butt home with Daddy.
After the Bellizzi event I was NOT in a rush to get to another, super-important meeting and on my way to pick up Don when my car all of a sudden lost power and started to stutter two minutes before getting home. That was not when I instantly remembered that I meant to get gas in Mount Kisco.
I bet this was NOT payback from Mother Earth who read last week’s Not Me! Monday entry and was appalled that I drove around an extra ten minutes to get L to fall asleep in the car — on EARTH DAY! Thankfully, I was able to pull into a restaurant’s parking lot, called Don, and he picked us up with the red monster truck. Off we went to the meeting. Someone there heard I just got stranded and offered to drive home and get 5 gallons of gas he still had in a canister. Okay, Mother Earth, I guess someone up there intervened and actually sent us that angel. How sweet was he to offer that! Gave his wife a huge azalea plant days later, which she planted — happy now, Mother Earth?
Not Me! Monday is a blog carnival that was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.
