Happy Mother’s Day to all amazing moms!
I don’t have a nice picture to share because we have been without power for a whole day now. It was extremely windy here in Katonah yesterday and a huge tree fell on some power lines up the street, severing them. I packed just the necessary things, we had to walk over the bridge where Don had to park the car because our street was completely blocked, and we slept over at Grandma’s.
After plenty of sleep and a pancake breakfast in the morning, we gathered our stuff and Don dropped off Landon and me at Muscoot Farm to watch the annual sheep shearing while Don checked out the situation at home. I usually wouldn’t be caught dead in sweatpants out in public, but these are special circumstances :) I had been looking forward to take L to the sheep shearing, and it was a lot of fun. He is currently running around with a fist full of wool, telling everyone who will listen that that wool came off the sheep. I got great pictures that I’ll add later.
They are still working on restoring the power. I got some storm lamps at Target so we can sleep at home even if there is still no power tonight. For now the whole Bleasdale Clan is hanging out at Grandma’s this evening to celebrate Mother’s Day and Grandma’s Day and Aunt Maria’s birthday. Not having been able to blog or tweet much has been interesting and shows me how much I use the computer every day. I can’t wait to finally order my new Dell laptop. How that would come in handy right now!
Grandma’s ancient computer sounds like it’s about to take off, so I better cut this short. More blog posts and tweets later. I’m going to enjoy some family time . . .
