This was the first year that Landon was really into the Easter Bunny. Well, I guess, the truth is that I was really into him enjoying Easter! :) I was so looking forward for him to meet the Easter Bunny and to see how he would react this year (last year he was scared of the Easter Bunny and wouldn’t let me take a picture).
I couldn’t wait to hide all the little chocolate eggs and little surprises I had bought in our garden on Easter Sunday. This was Landon’s first Easter egg hunt at home; last year we went to an Easter egg hunt at a local school with friends and their three kids:
Looking at that picture I realize how much nicer the weather was this year for Easter . . . Thanks to my friend Maria from New York Mom, we had these cool Hide ‘Em and Find ‘Em electronic Easter eggs. These four eggs call out “Come find me!” periodically.
It was so much fun to hype up finding all these goodies and to see how Landon enjoyed the treasure hunt through the garden. I love making a big deal about small things like this — I remember how much fun they were when I was a kid.
Can you tell that I was alone in being exited for Landon? Don couldn’t stop himself from reading the paper. I’d rather remember Landon’s happy face . . . Is this a male thing? Am I the only one who is irritated by it?
Once Landon found the electronic eggs, he opened them and they call out “You found me!” Too cute. We later on took them to Grandma’s house and L played with theses eggs some more with all of his cousins.
