I have come across some really cool, free offers lately that I wanted to round up in one post. I love free stuff, and I love letting others know about it.
Are you unemployed or know someone who is? Send them this link to register to receive a card entitling them to 20 percent off at Kmart for six months (only good on regular-priced Kmart-branded grocery and drug/health items).
Do you text while you are driving? Then you need this! In the new Parent magazine I noticed a mention of DriveSave.ly, a free application for Blackberries that reads out loud your SMS messages and e-mails to avoid potential car accidents. Download it for free — it could save lives! (On a personal note: although this sounds like a cool innovation, the safest thing to do is just to concentrate on driving, and I urge you to pull over if you need to read, text, or talk on the phone while driving, especially if you have children in the car. I mentioned this and other child-safety measures before.)
Do you like to color with your children? Well, if you have ever wanted some more adult coloring pages, you can download many at Coloring Pages for Mom. And here is a free 26 page coloring book for kids featuring Elliott, Lucy, their super-cute pooch Lola and their friends!
Interested in breastfeeding or struggling with it and don’t have the money to pay for a lactation consultant? Then take advantage of the weekly breastfeeding chat on Twitter (#bfchat). It happens every Thursday at 10 p.m. and you can ask lactation consultants and other moms for free information or support. Just search for #bfchat to see what is being discussed and add #bfchat to your own tweets. I usually try to be there.
I don’t know how long these free offers will be available, sorry if you read this post in the future and some of the offers are not available any longer. Check out my Facebook fan page for current free offers and cool coupons and deals!
