This is what Landon wore last year: of course he had to be Donald Duck, because Daddy’s name is Donald! I absolutely adore this costume.
This year I found a fireman costume for him at Target. I didn’t want a mask or a hard hat for him, so this was perfect. He loved being a fireman and kept telling me how he will extinguish fires. This was the first year where he really “got” Halloween, and it was so much fun to see him enjoy it.
They had a Halloween party at his preschool, and when we arrived, the kids were snacking on cookies. Great start of the day :) They all looked so cute in their costumes.
After each class visited the other classrooms to get candy, all the kids walked around the school . . .
. . . and then went to the playground to each pick out a pumpkin.
Since it was Landon’s birthday, we weren’t done with the fun. We drove to the mall and had lunch, got a balloon, and he got to ride on Bob’s car.
Today, I took Landon to the mall again. I enrolled him in the kids’ program they have there, and they were having an I Scream event. Can’t pass up free ice cream, so we got our scoop of orange cream ice cream.
The mall was packed with kids in their costumes. We walked into a few stores and got candy, and then it was time to head home. L fell asleep in the car, and Don took him to go trick-or-treating with Uncle Steve and his two cousins. Since I wasn’t there, I don’t have pictures, but this is what L looked like after two hours of walking and a few too many candies in his tummy:
Landon got a lot of use out of his costume this year, and we had so much fun. What did your child dress up as?
