We had such a nice day on Saturday, I thought I’d share some pictures.
After we woke up, Don told me that his friend Richard, who married us, is giving a mass at an Irish festival not too far away from us, so we decided to see him.
We got ready and were in the car before 9 a.m, pretty early for us. We stopped to grab some breakfast for the trip, and off we were.
We had to drive about two hours, but it was worth it. Richard spoke so eloquently to the hundreds of people gathered at the festival, it made me cry.
He spotted us in the crowd and mentioned Landon specifically, which was a great honor.
Afterward, we saw Richard briefly, bought some funny T-shirts for L (“Warning! Irish Temper, German Attitude!”) and then headed home, by way of Hudson Park.
Our brother-in-law is planning to build a baseball park for kids near Hudson, and the restaurant is already open, so we stopped by for a hot dog.
They serve about 50 different hot dogs and other food. L ate the whole hot dog.
Then he found this little car and cruised around with it for a long time.
And of course he found the vacuum!
After we had some ice cream as well, we headed home, and L was out after one minute.
Later we drove to Grandma’s and had a wonderful dinner there with the Bleasdale clan.
We usually all get together for dinner at least once on the weekend, about 15 of us. Coming from a small family, I love being a member of this large family, everyone gets along so well and it’s great for L to grow up playing with his cousins.
He had the best time getting hosed down by James in the front yard.
He felt like such a big boy, being part of what the other kids were doing. He came back inside all proud that he was wet like the big kids. Just another fun day in our life here in Westchester, New York.
