Guess who could not get enough of The Bachelor this morning?
My husband, dear Don, who criticizes me so much for liking some reality TV shows like John and Kate Plus 8 and The Bachelor!
I started watching the episode that aired last night after I noticed that my DVR had recorded it. I had not seen the show before that, the one where Jason had made his choice between Molly and Melissa, so I was getting caught up.
Jason had proposed to Melissa and now wanted Molly. Wow. Don walked in and started watching with me after Jason had said goodbye to Melissa and Molly was sitting down on the couch to talk to the host.
“So who is this?” Don asked me.
“That’s the girl he didn’t chose, but he now wants her back.”
“He proposed to the other one, but he just told her that he still has feeling for this one.”
“Oh, Jesus… (rolling his eyes). I can not believe that you are watching this!”
“I wonder if she knows.”
“That he still loves her.”
“Now, who does he love?”
“This one! I guess she doesn’t know yet that he is going to ask her for another chance. This is going to be interesting…”
We kept watching until the end of the episode, and then I found the second to last episode on the DVR as well, and we fast-forwarded through that two-hour show to get to the juicy part starting from where DeAnna shows up at Jason’s place.
“Now, who is this?”
“This is the one who did not pick him when she was the bachelorette.”
“He was on her show?”
“Yes, he was one of the last two.”
“She did not pick him?”
“No, she went for this snowboarder guy.”
“What is she doing there?”
“She thinks she made a mistake and wants Jason back. Isn’t this mean to put him in this situation? He has a hard enough time to choose between two women! Now she wants him to chose between three? These TV guys really are mean to set this up.”
“Wait, it didn’t work out with the guy she wanted? What a shocker! These shows are so contrived…”
“Shh, let me see!”
Don stayed seated on the end of the couch to see Jason say no to DeAnna’s proposal and him letting Molly go. I thought she handled the situation really classy, and her famous words, “You are making a big mistake” we already knew were soo to the point. We saw Jason propose to Melissa, which was painful to watch knowing what was going to follow, and after the show was over, I deleted it.
“I feels so bad for Melissa.”
“So go back to the other show,” Don said.
“I already watched that one.”
“Yeah, but I didn’t see the part where Jason let’s Melissa go.”
I could not believe it, Don was hooked! I smiled and watched that first part of the last show again with him. Ha, I don’t want to hear any more criticism when I watch my reality TV shows!
You got hooked watching The Bachelor, buddy!
